2024: SAP-Based Business Systems Support
IBS and Aeroflot summed up the results of the first year of cooperation on March 27, 2024. The airline turned to IBS services in February 2023. IBS, together with the IT company AFLT-Systems (part of the Aeroflot group), it was necessary to organize support for the carrier's business systems implemented on the foreign SAP platform as soon as possible.
The peculiarity of the project is that the change of the contractor to support the system of this scale and complexity was carried out in a short time with the continuity of all automated business processes. This became possible due to the great experience of the IBS team and the rich industry experience of AFLT-Systems specialists in the implementation of outsourcing projects of various sizes and complexity.
In the future, IBS specialists formed a center of expertise on business processes in the aviation industry, created and implemented working regulations, formed an effective support team of more than 100 people, and a service management structure, established effective interaction with users and the Aeroflot IT team.
In addition to user support and implementation of system changes, IBS provides replacement of vendor support: solves abnormal situations related to errors in SAP software, and adapts the system to changes in Russian legislation, which minimizes the risks of SAP solutions operation for Aeroflot, despite the vendor's departure from the Russian Federation and sanctions restrictions.
As of March 2024, Aeroflot is implementing a large-scale digital project for the complete import substitution of the enterprise's IT management system. The solution supplier is the domestic company "1C." The development and implementation of an ERP system that meets all the requirements of the largest air carrier in Russia is planned by the end of 2024.
{{quote 'author = noted Director of IBS Commercial Software Support Department Dmitry Ivitsky. | Over the past two years, many Russian companies have had to change partners who provided support and development of their IT systems due to the departure of foreign IT companies from Russia. At the same time, such changes are always a stressful situation and a risk to business continuity. We are pleased that in partnership and synergy with the key integrator in the aviation industry, AFLT-Systems, our many years of experience and competencies in the implementation of outsourcing projects were in demand and helped the Russian air carrier not only to go through these changes without any negative consequences, but also to move to a new, more effective and transparent level of organization of support for SAP solutions,}}
