2023: Growth of Russian information LCD panels market by 63% to 107 thousand units

The volume of the Russian signage market in 2023 reached 107 thousand units, which is 63% higher than a year ago. In monetary terms, sales of such products also rose, but not as much as in kind - by 31%, to $314 million. This is evidenced by the data of the analytical company ITResearch, released in February 2024.

In their calculations, experts include professional LCDs with a diagonal of 32 to 110 inches, interactive and seamless solutions. Sales of computer monitors, modular LED screens, video cubes and commercial TVs are not counted.

According to ITResearch estimates, the weighted average cost of LFD panels for 2023 decreased by 20% - $3.7 thousand to $3 thousand. One of the trends in the market, analysts call the introduction of 65-inch 4K panels in the segment of seamless solutions.

At first glance, such displays are redundant, but in this way customers are able to get a fairly compact 8K solution using only four panels. In dispatch rooms, decision-making centers, etc., this can be very popular, the study notes.

Also, experts pay attention to the transition of panels with a seam of 3.5 mm to the status of budget solutions, which contributes to an increase in demand for these products. Panels with a seam of 1.8 mm and 0.9 mm have also become sharply more affordable, which increases their competitiveness compared to modular screens, analysts add.

According to their estimates, in the fourth quarter of 2023, 37.3 thousand information panels were sold in Russia in the amount of $101.4 million, which is 57% and 19.4% more on an annualized basis, respectively. Compared to the third quarter of 2023, the market volume grew by 144% in pieces and by 92% in money.^[1]
