The ATC of Tambov implemented GLONASS for detection of cars

The ATC of Tambov together with City administration and M2M Telematics Tambov company (the regional partner of M2M Telematics) Implemented a New Method of Detection of the Cars Put on the Wanted List within the Plan Perekhvat Group. Now drivers more than 400 units of the city public transport equipped with GLONASS equipment can be involved in search.

Number and signs of the stolen car come from a control room of the ATC to the central dispatching service MAU "Passenger traffic", and from there are transferred to all vehicles equipped with the exchange service stations M2M-Cyber GLX and displayed on the LCD-display installed in the driver's cabin.

The efficiency of an innovation was checked experimentally: On November 24 at 17 o'clock, without preliminary notification, to drivers it was transferred input about commission in the city of stealing of the car and its sign. The stolen vehicle as which one of cars of the ATC acted was revealed drivers of public transport in ten minutes, and its coordinates are transferred to the manager and to a control room of the ATC.

As the Deputy chief of the Department of Internal Affairs in Tambov told, the chief of staff of the ATC Andrey Makov, participation of citizens in protection of public order and fight against crime allows not only not to allow deteriorations in a criminal situation in the conditions of reduction of number of staff of law-enforcement bodies, but also to involve citizens in law-enforcement activity.

"All of us live in one city, - Andrey Makov explained, - and together we can fight against criminal encroachments, such, for example, as stealing of motor transport. Earlier horse thieves were monitored by all village, and not just that from whom the horse was stolen. Drivers of public transport people in itself very attentive and if to tell information that such car is searched and to ask to report in 02 or to the manager, the probability of detection of the stolen car considerably will grow. So to criminals we will not run off, and they will know that they are monitored not only by police officers, but also any citizen".
