2026: Checking pop-up notifications from messengers
Kaspersky Lab has updated the solution for remote life cycle management and security of corporate mobile devices - Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management (KSMM). Now it has access to checking pop-up notifications from popular instant messengers, including Telegram and MAX, as well as applications for receiving SMS. The program will warn users about dangerous links - which will help them protect against phishing, as well as prevent malware from infecting their working device . The company announced this on February 4, 2026.
In addition, this version has more options for managing enterprise Android devices via KSMM. Now, if problems arise, the administrator will be able to remotely connect to them to help the employee. In enterprise device mode, a silent connection scenario is also available in which the user is not asked for permission to control the screen. This option will be useful if, for example, a problem occurs with data collection terminals, price scanners or other similar devices, and there will be no employees next to them at that moment. If necessary, through KSMM, it will be possible to reboot the Android device, as well as reset the PIN, for example, if the employee forgot the code to unlock.
Mobile devices are one of the main ways to communicate within any organization. At the same time, attackers often try to penetrate the corporate network precisely through employees' gadgets using phishing or other social engineering methods. As the level of awareness of cyber threats grows, attackers are looking for new attack vectors. We regularly expand the capabilities of Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management so that the solution effectively resists new and current techniques. The update will strengthen the security of organizations and make enterprise device management even more flexible, "said Vladislav Ushakov, Product Manager of Endpoint Solutions at Kaspersky Lab.
2025: Delivery of arbitrary files to mobile Android devices
Kaspersky Lab has updated Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management, a solution for remote life cycle management and security of corporate mobile devices. The company announced this on April 9, 2025.
Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management supports all the main options for the safe use of mobile devices in companies - personal devices with the creation of a crypto container for an isolated environment of business applications, corporate gadgets (including in kiosk mode for special tasks).
In the updated release of the product, Kaspersky Lab focused on the development of specialized scenarios for working on Android devices. Among the updates:
- Delivery of arbitrary files (in different formats) to mobile Android devices. Now companies can use smartphones and tablets to transfer files necessary for business applications, such as information for product accounting systems. Also, using Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management, you can create certain configurations for organizing a secure connection of a mobile gadget to a corporate network.
- Improved kiosk mode. The update improves the usability of both system administrators and users. Now, for an IT specialist to carry out service work, it is enough to enter a one-time code on the device to remove the kiosk mode, and all application updates will occur as seamlessly as possible for the device user, that is, do not interfere with his activity.
we are the only domestic vendor that offers MDM a solution with a gateway that allows you to establish a safe connection between server management in the perimeter of the company and connected to the Internet to mobile devices. At the end of 2024, we adapted Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management for server management Linux and are now continuing to develop its functionality, "said Ivan Salikhov, senior product development manager at Kaspersky Lab.
2024: Add capabilities to fine-tune enterprise device functionality
Kaspersky Lab has updated Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management, a solution for remote life cycle management and security of corporate mobile devices. The product allows not only to control the mobile fleet of the enterprise, but also to reliably protect it from cyber threats. The developer announced this on April 2, 2024.
The solution has added features for fine-tuning the functionality of an enterprise device, including changing wireless settings, limiting calls, SMS, a set of applications, tracking a shift, or adding a new SIM card. A remote configuration of installed applications for Android and iOS platforms has become available.
The management of work profile functions has also been expanded in order to further separate corporate data and settings from personal ones. Among the added options are additional restrictions on the transfer of information from the work profile, password policies with set complexity criteria, issuing special permissions to applications of the work profile and their remote configuration, as well as the ability to block the corporate profile.
The product has a geofensing function: now you can not only track the location of devices, but also set the boundaries of their permitted functioning. This option will help, for example, ensure the safety of sensitive objects so that, if necessary, the ban on calls or the use of the camera is turned on.
Enriched with the ability to work with certificates - an option such as automatic statement, delivery and installation of security certificates when connecting to the management server has become available. Each certificate is generated personally for the user. The functionality works with both MS CA (Certification Authority) and domestic CAs.
It also became possible to automatically delete corporate data from the device if an employee left the company.
Mobile devices have become an integral part of business processes: with their help, employees conduct work communications and perform part of their tasks. This is convenient: unlike stationary computers, a smartphone is always at hand. This is especially true for industries in which some of the processes are carried out remotely - retail, transport, the financial sector, logistics, warehouse business, construction, medicine and pharmaceuticals, leasing. However, the use of mobile devices carries risks in the field of cybersecurity, for example, the loss of corporate data or the suspension of workflows as a result of anti-malware software. The situation is aggravated by the fact that some employees use personal devices for work, the security of which is more difficult. Especially close attention requires a business with a mobile fleet of more than 100 devices. To minimize risks, companies need to implement specialized controls. Our Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management solution allows you to effectively manage and protect enterprise mobile devices. At the same time, we are constantly expanding its functionality in order to respond to current business needs - both in terms of cybersecurity and convenience, "said Ivan Salikhov, senior product manager at Kaspersky Secure Mobility Management.
