2024: Automation of Budgeting Process

On April 1, 2024, the company GlowByte announced that Sodruzhestvo Group of Companies it had automated the budgeting process in natural terms in the main areas of activity on the the Russian CPMEPM basis of the/-platform. Optimacros The project was consulted by GlowByte. The implemented solution fully covers the processes of budgeting the volume of purchases, production and, sales and also meets the needs of the business.

According to the company, the specialists moved the process from Microsoft Excel to Optimacros. The implemented technological solution made it easier to work with budgets and optimized its efficiency. The emergence of a single space for employees of both the planning and economic service and other departments involved in the budgeting process has reduced the share of manual labor thanks to automatic error checking, balancing three budgets with each other and the ability to flexibly configure access for various users.

The process of coordination with automatic sending of notifications to was also implemented. email When approved, everything data in the model is frozen and protected from the possibility of making changes to the approved budget. The project was implemented in a non-standard way in 2 stages: within the framework of the first phase, GlowByte completed the MVP for the procurement budget and designed architectural solutions for the rest of the budgets, and within the second phase, Sodruzhestvo Group of Companies independently enriched production and sales budgets with formulas with consulting support from the integrator.

This approach satisfied the need of Sodruzhestvo Group of Companies for its own competence center, which, upon completion of the project, will allow technical and consulting support for the implemented functionality and carry out improvements to the model on its own.

The project lasted 7 months and was completed in February 2024. The created system meets all our expectations and allows you to optimize the processes of preparation and balancing budgets, starting from the next cycle. It should be noted that during the project we gained very interesting and valuable experience not only working directly in Optimacros, but also developing models, which can be used by us in the future to solve a wide range of problems. Of important importance for Sodruzhestvo Group of Companies was that Optimacros is positioned as a low-code solution that allows you to independently support the implemented functionality. However, completely independent implementation entails many risks of a suboptimal architecture and implementation, and, accordingly, in the future, low performance, a decrease in motivation to work in the system. Due to the fact that the most responsible and difficult step, such as the study of the frames of multicubes and their relationships for the target model, was carried out by the GlowByte team and was in our area of ​ ​ responsibility, we managed to save the project time.
