2024: Product Announcement
In early April 2024, the Novgorod ANO "SPC" Ushkuynik"talked about the development of high-speed interceptor drones with an automatic guidance system. It is assumed that these UAVs will confront Ukrainian drones in the zone of Russia military special operation on. To Ukraine
According to the general director of Ushkuynik Alexei Chadayev, the principle of operation of interceptors is as follows: when a drone sits in the "nest" in the air mine mode, it receives a signal that there is an object in its sector, the drone takes off and then detects the target using artificial intelligence.
He flies up, then either rams it himself and explodes, or releases the net, or something else. There are many different developments conducted independently of each other by different teams. This topic is in focus now, - said Chadaev in a conversation with TASS. |
He noted that electronic warfare systems can disrupt the work of almost all equipment that falls into their coverage area, while kinetic means of interception are devoid of this drawback. According to Chadayev, for rear objects, kinetic interceptions are needed for anti-pilot and anti-drone warfare, which in themselves are not weapons and are safe for everything else.
The TASS interlocutor also said that Russia needs to be ready for attacks by swarms of drones and ensure the protection of objects from them. In these conditions, the key task requiring increased attention is the creation of modern means of detecting drones, the expert emphasized.
In early April 2024, CNN, citing an informed source, wrote that Ukraine uses drones with artificial intelligence against Russia for more accurate targeting.[1]
