2024: Presentation of the Human Resources Management Decision Support System

The scientific team of NRU "MPEI" has developed the Intellectual System for Supporting the Adoption of Personnel Management Decisions in the Electric Power Industry. The system is of strategic importance for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of energy enterprises. The university announced this on April 4, 2024.

The main goal of the program is to ensure the effective adoption of personnel management decisions by assessing the universal, professional, supraprofessional and metacompetition of candidates for a vacant position, which were determined by the scientific team as the most significant for enterprises of the electric power complex.

The process of evaluating candidates is implemented interactively, and the entire concept of the system implies a kind of simulator in which users encounter a certain sequence of scenarios, each of which affects the formation of points in all competencies. The scenarios themselves were formed taking into account a large range of management situations - from resource allocation and time management to handling conflict situations and strategic planning.

This program makes it possible to take a significant step forward in the field of personnel management, combining technology and a scientific approach. It allows you to automate the process of evaluating candidates, which significantly saves time and resources. If necessary, the program can be adapted to the specific needs of the enterprise or industry, as well as scaled to work with a large amount of data and personnel processes, − Natalya Ketoeva, head of the department of management in power and industry, spoke about the development.

At the end of work with the system, the user and the employer have the opportunity to view a detailed report demonstrating the level of competence formation and the user's decision-making style. Recommendations for the development of missing competencies are also provided.

Registration of the program belongs to the Department of Management in power and Industry of NRU "MPEI."
