2024: Shipping company "Yakutsk" bought out from Mitsui & Co shares in "TM Baikal"

On April 12, 2024, it became known that LLC Shipping Company Yakutsk became the owner of the TM Baikal enterprise in the Irkutsk Region, which is engaged in the production and wholesale of lumber. There is no information on the estimated value of the transaction as of the specified date.

The TM Baikal enterprise was established by the Ministry of Property Relations of the Russian Federation, as well as the Japanese firms Mitsui and Tajima Lumber. The assortment is represented by bars, building boards, etc. The website of the TM Baikal company states that the volume of lumber production is 115 thousand cubic meters per year. The main consumers of products are Japan, China, Korea and the CIS countries.

According to Interfax, the Yakutsk shipping company bought out shares in TM Baikal from Japanese Mitsui, Tajima Lumber and Tajima Kosan. The owner of the Yakutsk company is Yakutsk River Port LLC, which, in turn, belongs to Starvey Logistics LLC. All three structures are part of the Starvey Group of Companies, founded in 2011 by Felix Lyubashevsky, president of the independent oil service group Integra.

It is noted that the Starvey Group of Companies also includes Rechservice LLC, Management of Technological Transport LLC and Osetrovsky River Port, located on the Lena River in Ust-Kut (it is strategic for the northern delivery of the Irkutsk Region and Yakutia, as well as the construction of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline). Starvey provides a full range of logistics services in the field of river cargo transportation in the Lena River basin, services for motor transport services for industrial enterprises in various regions of Russia, services for outsourcing special equipment and transport, as well as outsourcing of warehousing and development.[1]
