2024: Announcement of the complex

On April 18, 2024, Roselectronics announced the Basis software and hardware complex (PAC), which is intended for use in supercomputers. The novelty is built on the basis of Russian technologies.

According to the press service of Roselectronics, the PAC was developed by engineers of the Scientific Research Center for Electronic Computer Engineering (NICEVT). The system includes three servers equipped with processors with cores in the amount of up to 128 pieces and up to 2 TB of RAM.

To combine computers into a computing cluster, the Angara high-speed communication network is used. The network equipment included in the firmware complex has a data transmission channel capacity of 75 Gbps with a communication delay of up to 1 microsecond, which, according to the developers, can be compared to a second delay in transferring data from the Moon to Earth. It is noted that the solution can scale to several hundred nodes.

Roselectronics said that Basis can be used to create data processing and storage centers, virtualized offices, virtual machines, graphics application servers, as well as supercomputers for non-standard calculations.

The scope of the new firmware complex is very wide. For example, our technologies will easily cope with the task of creating virtualized engineering workplaces with support for hardware processing of 3D graphics. And the high throughput of the data transmission channel and flexible scaling system allows you to carry out the most complex computing operations. Our specialists are ready to calculate and adapt our new PAC for specific tasks and needs of the customer, "added Ruslan Dzeytov, General Director of NICEVT.
