2024: Start of Sales

In early April 2024, the Chinese company IM Motors introduced the L6 all-electric sedan. This is the first car on the market equipped with a semi-solid battery. Such a battery pack is not only cheaper than traditional power supplies, but also provides an increased range on a single charge - up to 1000 km.

The electric car will be offered in three versions - the basic version of the Standard Max at a price of approximately $31,800, the productive High-Performance modification for $41,480 and the maximum configuration of the Lightyear Max at $45,640. The most expensive model is equipped with the aforementioned semi-solid battery with ultra-fast charging: its capacity is 130 kVt·ch. It is claimed that 12 minutes of replenishment of the energy reserve will be enough to cover a distance of 400 km. According to IM Motors, the battery module has "exceptional safety."

IM L6

For the L6 sedan, single-engine and twin-engine configurations are provided: in the first case, power reaches 408 horsepower, in the second - 787 horsepower. The most dynamic version takes 2.74 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The car received a fully controlled chassis with steering rear wheels. This improves maneuverability and reduces the turning radius. In addition, the so-called "crab mode" is implemented, when the machine can move diagonally.

The dimensions of the L6 electric car are 4.93 meters long, 1.96 meters wide and 1.47 meters high. The wheelbase is 2.95 meters. The novelty received pneumatic suspension and developed autopilot tools, and instead of the usual steering wheel, you can order a steering wheel. In the cabin, almost the entire width of the front panel is the display of the infotainment system. Additional screen is located on central console. In addition, touch monitors are available to passengers in the rear row of seats.[1]
