2024: Attracting 54 million rubles of investments for the development of electric motorcycles

At the end of April 2024, the Iskra Ventures Foundation announced the investment of 54 million rubles in the development of the electric bicycle project of the Tesla Design Bureau. The developers are going to use the funds received to debug mass production and expand the fleet to a thousand bicycles, brand the subscription bike rental service and launch pilot projects abroad.

According to TAdviser in the Iskra Ventures fund, thanks to the support provided by the fund, the Tesla Design Bureau will be able to get a significant share of the courier transport market for express delivery in Moscow and the regions and will prepare the company for international expansion.

At all stages of the transaction agreement, colleagues from the Iskra Ventures fund immersed themselves in the details of our business, studied internal processes and brought valuable expertise. And the main thing is that this close interaction continues. We are glad that we have received such a strategic partner as the Iskra Ventures fund, which will help us implement our most advanced developments, "said Denis Netaliev, founder of Cargo Bike and Tesla Design Bureau.

The bureau says that the electric bicycles developed by the company use the experience of operating imported models, but are adapted to Russian weather and other conditions. In particular, transport has an increased carrying capacity (three standard courier bags), minimal maintenance costs, increased mileage on one charge, which is enough for a full change of work even in winter, the Tesla Design Bureau said. They also added that the electric bikes were developed taking into account the new requirements of the Moscow Department of Transport and meet the requests of all participants in the express delivery market.
