2024: Introduction of technology for improving reliability and noise immunity of short-wave radio communication
Holding Roselectronics"" of the State Corporation Rostec has developed a technology that allows to increase the reliability and noise immunity of short-wave radio communication outside the line of sight at a distance of up to 6000 km. The solution was successfully tested when organizing communication with aircraft that were at a considerable distance from the control center. Rostec announced this on May 15, 2024.
The method of signal diversity proposed by the engineers of the Polet Scientific and Production Enterprise (part of Roselectronics) allows you to organize communication simultaneously at several frequencies and compress the transmitted information without compromising its reliability. This technology ensures the transmission of radio waves over a multipath channel, their reception by antenna elements spaced apart in space and subsequent summation of the received signals. The system can be used to increase reliability and noise immunity of dual-purpose KV-band radio links.
The created solution includes frequency diversity of radio waves, application of orthogonal signals and majority decoding. The technology was successfully tested during tests of equipment developed by NPP Polet to organize communication with aircraft located at very long distances from the control center, "said Alexander Keistovich, solution developer, leading researcher at NPP Polet. |
