The subsidiary of the cigarette manufacturer Japan Tobacco in the Russian Federation removed CRM system Oracle and switched to Russian - software the product "Eva," developed jointly with the company. Grotem This became known in mid-May 2024.

According to CNews, since May 1, 2024, JTI Russia "has been in industrial operation of the Eva CRM system, which replaced the Oracle Siebel CRM solution, which has been used since 2008. The implemented platform is based on open components and products net core, rabbitMq, grafana loki, prometheus, angular and flutter. The solution uses the Yandex Cloud cloud platform and PostgreSQL database management system.

According to the developers, Eva surpasses Oracle Siebel CRM in some respects. One of them concerns the improvement of retail in the channel of modern trade and the optimization of the administration of assortments in contracts. Also, the Russian system more conveniently implements the process of confirming (verifying) contacts of trading partners.

Sales representatives enter the personal data of the trading partners with whom we work into the database, and after that we have a step of verification (in order to avoid fraud) of these contacts and their personal data from their managers or other higher employees, - explained the Chief information officer of JTI Russia Anton Grebelny.

In addition, thanks to Eva, visiting employees of JTI Russia got the opportunity to work with a mobile application developed by Grotem specialists. Previously, employees had to carry large inconvenient tablets with them, and now it is possible to work with the program from a smartphone.

The costs of this project are not disclosed. JTI Russia and Grotem do not plan to sell their development to third-party companies.[1]
