2024: Transfer of 45 million rubles to telephone fraudsters who introduced themselves as employees of the Central Bank

First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of Crimea Efim Fix transferred 45 million rubles to telephone fraudsters who introduced themselves as employees of the Bank of Russia and law enforcement agencies. This became known in May 2024.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, for two weeks the attackers "processed" Efim Fix through messengers. Fraudsters claimed that someone was trying to steal money from Fix's accounts and transfer it to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). To save the funds, you need to withdraw them and put them in a savings account. The politician did it.

Yefim Fix himself refrains from commenting on information that he was the victim of telephone swindlers. The politician's wife, in a conversation with the Komsomolskaya Pravda Crimea publication, only briefly replied that she "knows nothing" about this incident. The publication notes that telephone scammers tried to deceive other deputies of the Crimean State Council. Among them - a member of the Association for Assistance to the Development of the Aerospace Industry in the Republic of Crimea "Sputnik," a deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea of the second convocation Valery Aksenov.

I had to deal with scammers. I take the phone when they call from unfamiliar numbers - you never know what can happen. The other day, a "mobile operator" called, who urgently needs to renegotiate the contract with me, listened for a couple of minutes and hung up when it came to a settlement account, "he said in a conversation with KP-Crimea.

In his case, the swindlers sent a message on behalf of a friend and asked the politician 50 thousand rubles for the operation. The deception was revealed when the politician said that he was ready to hand over the money to his wife.[1]
