2024: Top manager of Detsky Mir Andrey Osokin and ex-head of e-commerce at Svyaznoy Anatoly Mokhov became co-owners of the company

Top manager of Detsky Mir Andrei Osokin and ex-head of e-commerce at Svyaznoy Anatoly Mokhov became co-owners of the Russian company Rubrik-OD: their shares in the manufacturer of children's designers amounted to 5% and 3.5%, respectively. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL), which became known at the end of May 2024.

Ainar Abdrakhmanov, founder of Rubrik-OD, told Kommersant that another 2% will be received by the company's executive director Yekaterina Oleinikova, who previously worked as Sberbank's managing marketing director. These top managers joined the ranks of Rubrik-OD investors, which were previously joined by Oleg Dorozhok, top manager of the Ozon marketplace, acquiring a 5% stake.

The founder of Rubrik-OD did not disclose the volume of attracted investments, but the general director of Infoline-Analytics, Mikhail Burmistrov, estimates the cost of the entire company at 50-60 million rubles, and the share of new investors at about 10 million rubles.

Abdrakhmanov intends to hold the second round of attracting investments in the fall of 2024 to launch the first line of designers based on the Russian series "Unscrupulous." Designers will be produced in Russia and China.

After Lego left the Russian market in 2022, the vacated niches are trying to occupy domestic companies. According to experts interviewed by the newspaper, Russian manufacturers got mainly a niche of gift designers. At the same time, consumer demand for Russian goods is growing, especially against the background of import substitution policy.[1]
