Development on Sharepoint for cross-industry interregional B2B of the portal focused on close scientific and technical and production partnership of diversified complementary industrial enterprises for the purpose of the accelerated transition to release of the innovation products. The project was custom-made the Ministries of the industry, science and technologies of the Russian Federation within the federal target scientific and technical program "Research and Development in the Priority Directions of Development of Science and Technology for 2002-2006" for the section Production technologies.

Project objective was development of a complex of the information technologies supporting a new system of the organization of technical training of production which is focused on close scientific and technical and production partnership of diversified complementary industrial enterprises and also higher education Institutions, Scientific Research Institute and CB. Providing with means of the portal of access to bases of professional knowledge and data, to archives of standard design and technological solutions gives the chance to quickly execute difficult engineering designs, separating process of creation of a new product on the specialized peripheral automated jobs; at the same time at the same time labor, material and energy resources can be used more effectively.

Creation of the cross-industry portal to increase productivity of work of specialists – technologists, designers of the capital and ancillary equipment and the equipment – and to render the efficient help to managers of projects of creation of the innovation equipment. As first-priority results of deployment of the portal it is expected:

  • reduction of terms of implementation of the knowledge-intensive projects due to integration within the portal of unique experience, advanced technologies and production capabilities of a number of the diversified (complementary) partner enterprises;
  • increase in overall effectiveness of production of the participating enterprises of the portal due to quality improvement and the accelerated emergence of the updated products in the market, fast transition from "projects on paper" to real samples of the new equipment;
  • providing modern level of service to participants and clients of the portal in the field of effective obtaining specialized information;

Implementation of the portal allowed to create distributed control systems a production cycle of development of the new equipment, providing continuous communication between customers and producers, partners and clients. Use of the portal by the enterprises of a machine-building complex as information technical storage as a part of the ERP system at a stage of technical training of production of products of the new equipment, will allow to reach the following economic indicators:

  • cost reductions by 1.5-2 times when setting on production of products of the new equipment;
  • performance improvements of work at a stage of technical training of production for 20-30%;
  • increases in level of service, convenience and the effectiveness of services when obtaining the up-to-date scientific and commercial information.

Within an informational portal the following problems are solved:

  • creation of the common information space connecting the different geographically distributed organizations;
  • creation of uniform community of the interested participants of the market of scientific and technical products on development of the automated technology complexes of the accelerated preparation of production for the innovation products of mechanical engineering;
  • creation of the uniform distributed regional infrastructure for implementation of CALS technologies at production preparation stages;
  • creation of marketplaces for a possibility of the conclusion of transactions of different participants (clients) of an informational portal;
  • implementation of the central database providing the storage and information processing about users, participating firms of joint projects given about technologies, commercial and marketing information;
  • implementation of specialized design-technology databases and knowledge bases on new technologies and new types of the equipment for industrial enterprises and also other tasks revealed when carrying out Research and Development.

The main core of a system executing basic functionality is Microsoft Content Management Server. Within the portal support of a handshaking of participants, such as forums and conferences, search in resources, consulting is provided.
