2024: Mikhail Sivoldaev bought the company
Mikhail Sivoldaev, a former deputy chairman of the board of Renova, acquired Avir LLC, an enterprise engaged in timber harvesting in Kamchatka. The transaction was made through the structure of Blue Lagoon LLC controlled by the businessman, which became the new owner of Avir. This was reported on June 5, 2024 by Kommersant.
According to the Forestry Agency of the Kamchatka Territory, Avir has signed a ten-year lease agreement for forest plots on the territory of the Atlas Forestry for timber harvesting. The area of the leased plots is not specified.
According to agency experts, the development of a logging asset may require significant investment in infrastructure from the new owner. However, they also point to a growing need for local building materials in the region, including for tourist facilities.
The Kamchatka Territory is provided with forest resources - the area of the estimated cutting, that is, the permissible volume of wood withdrawal, is many times higher than the current volume of harvesting. |
The need for building materials in Kamchatka may increase due to the Far Eastern mortgage and the program for providing plots for housing construction. At the same time, the cost of delivering building materials from other regions remains high.
Experts of the Forestry Agency of the Kamchatka Territory believe that the simplest option for organizing production for the new owner of Avir may be the production of wooden log cuttings, which in Kamchatka can be used, among other things, for the construction of tourist infrastructure.
According to Kommersant, Mikhail Sivoldaev's acquisition of a logging company in Kamchatka indicates the businessman's possible interest in developing a new direction of activity in the face of growing demand for local building materials in the region.[1]
