The implementation of the project provides for the use of Russian-made components, which creates conditions for the support and development of domestic production. The operator of the TEA NEXT project is Atlas.

The construction of the TEA NEXT fiber-optic line continues, in the future it will connect the western and eastern borders of Russia with links to the largest cities of the country and access to the borders of Russia - Mongolia - China and the coastal station of underwater communication lines in Nakhodka.

For June 2024, more than 1,500 km of the TEA NEXT VOLS route in the European part of the Russian Federation is ready. Until the end of 2025, it is planned to extend the line to Mongolia and China. In 2026, the entire ground part of the communication line, which is part of the first stage of construction, passing through the territory of Russia, will be fully ready. In parallel, the necessary infrastructure for international line extensions will be provided.
