2024: Product Announcement

The Chinese company iRocks on June 6, 2024 presented an innovative wireless gaming mouse M31R Plus, featuring a unique power system. The novelty does not require either batteries or conventional batteries, using a "supercapacitor power source" instead.

According to iRocks, it takes only 5 minutes to fully charge the mouse, after which it can work autonomously for up to 30 days. The capacitors of the device are able to withstand up to 100 thousand recharging cycles, which provides a mouse life of about 8.3 thousand years.

The M31R Plus is equipped with a Pixart PAW3395 laser sensor with a resolution of up to 26 thousand. DPI. The buttons are designed for 80 million clicks, and the weight of the device is only 66 grams. Communication with the computer is carried out via a USB adapter at a frequency of 2.4 GHz with a polling frequency of 8 kHz and a delay of 1 ms, which provides high accuracy and response speed.

In addition to the M31R Plus, iRocks has introduced another mouse model without a battery - the M49R Plus, but details about its characteristics have not yet been disclosed. Both new items are improved versions of the previously released light three-mode wireless mice M31R and M49R.

The abandonment of traditional chemical batteries and the transition to "supercapacitors" was the main difference between the updated versions. According to the developers, recharging the capacitors for 3 minutes, providing about a week of battery life of the device.
