2024: Launch of production of superminiature LED lamps

Roselectronics has launched the production of superminiature LED lamps. The company announced this on June 11, 2024.

source = Roselectronics

They are designed to indicate and illuminate equipment on ships, in cars, on board aircraft and helicopters. Thanks to innovative materials, lamps are resistant to mechanical influences, high humidity, salt fog and extreme temperatures.

Superminiature LED lamps were developed by specialists of the Tomsk Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (NIIPP, part of Roselectronics) and are designed to replace superminiature incandescent lamps in on-board equipment. These products are more than ten times longer - their service life exceeds 50,000 hours. The size of the lamps is 7-9 mm, the diameter does not exceed 3.2 mm, and the weight is 0.2 g.

In superminiature LED lamps, a light scattering material of the case specially developed at NIIPP is used, which provides protection of lamps in harsh operating conditions. Such technical characteristics in the future will allow products to receive the "VP" quality category (military acceptance).

Customers from the aviation industry turned to us with a request to create a replacement for superminiature incandescent lamps developed and manufactured back in the days of the USSR. The warehouse stocks of such products are coming to an end, and only imported analogues are presented on the market that do not meet all the necessary technical requirements. The first batches of our lamps for June 2024 have already been delivered to the customer, and we have received positive feedback. The production capacities of NIIPP make it possible to fully meet the needs of the domestic market with products. To date, the first batch of our lamps has already been delivered to manufacturers of equipment for aircraft and helicopter equipment, "said Evgeny Monastyrev, Director General of NIIPP.

LED superminiature lamps (LSM) are available in three design versions for different connection methods and with different outputs: bayonet, axial and radial.
