Date of the premiere of the system: June 2024

2024: Product Announcement

Russia The first unmanned aerial vehicle with a hybrid photon control system has been developed that cannot be suppressed by electronic warfare. This was reported in early June 2024 by the Ural Meridian news agency.

The new drone, developed by AST Service in the Universitetskiy Technopark in the Sverdlovsk Region, is a 100 kg drone. The hybrid photon control system provides it with high resistance to external electromagnetic influences, such as electronic interference, pulses, lightning strikes and interference from high-voltage power lines.

According to representatives of the Robotology-Neuro company, the technology used in the new drone significantly increases its resistance to various types of electronic warfare. This allows the use of advanced photonic and quantum technologies not only in air, but also in ground-based robotic systems interacting with such drones.

The Russian photonic technology for the new drone was developed by the Yekaterinburg resident of Skolkovo, the Robotology-Neuro company, with the consulting support of the Operator of Spatial Data Services JSC and experts from the section of the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy under the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. In June 2024, tests and flights of the test sample are being tested, and mass production is planned in Russia.

According to Robotology-Neuro, the new development will find wide application in various areas, including monitoring the earth's surface and other industries. According to the developers, the introduction of a hybrid photon control system opens up new opportunities for the use of photon and quantum technologies in unmanned systems.

By June 2024, it is planned to build a drone production plant in the Sverdlovsk Region for 380 million rubles.[1]
