2024: Serial production of relay complex launched
Holding "Russian Space Systems" (part of the State Corporation "Roscosmos") has developed and launched into mass production equipment of one of the most important on-board systems of spacecraft - a relay complex. This was reported to the RKS on June 14, 2024. The company's own development guarantees reliable transmission of satellite images, television and radio signals, meteorological and navigation information between spacecraft and ground stations. The complex has been tested, proved its effectiveness and successfully operates on the world's first highly elliptical hydrometeorological space system "Arctic-M," as well as on geostationary satellites of the "Electro-L" series.
The repeater, created by RKS specialists, consists of unified microwave devices and is an integral part of the on-board radio engineering complex installed on spacecraft for various purposes. Receiving a signal from a ground station or from a target equipment installed on a satellite, it converts it to the desired frequency, amplifies it and transmits it to receiving stations or consumer equipment in the coverage area.
The relay complex was developed by RKS specialists at the domestic element base and has a modular design, its composition can vary depending on the needs of customers and the purpose of spacecraft. Serial production of the complex and its components began in 2024.
