Rosa Resource Manager

ROSA Resource Manager is a hybrid information infrastructure management system. This means that the system can manage virtual infrastructures, cloud and container environments, networks, physical servers, DSS, etc., from a single interface.

2024: "Dew Resource Manager" version 1.4 with hierarchical representation of resources

STC IT ROSA June 20, 2024 announced the release of an updated version of the intelligent system for managing heterogeneous information infrastructure and cost optimization - ROSA Resource Manager (MR) version 1.4.

In this version of the product, improvements have been made to work with the so-called "tenants" or "tenants." The fact is that the parent organization operating the ROSA Resource Manager can provide access to the infrastructure to its departments, which have independence and work on a self-billing basis, or provide access on a commercial basis to third-party tenant companies. To do this, a hierarchical representation of resources has been entered into the system according to the belonging to a particular tenant/tenant. Now the administrator of the parent organization sees all the resources in the form of trees belonging to tenants, and the administrators of tenants see only the resources "rented" by them. To improve the information security of this mode of operation, work was also carried out to isolate the virtual networks of tenants from each other.

Documentation was also greatly improved, especially in terms of completeness of presentation of the material and easier understanding of the text.

ROSA Resource Manager performs the following functions:

1. Situational awareness. With this product, the user continuously receives information about both the technical and financial state of the information infrastructure. Information is provided through dashboards, alerts, custom reports, etc., and can include both information about the load of hardware resources and the cost of their consumption.

2. Universal management. ROSA Resource Manager offers a single method of managing various elements of the information infrastructure supplied by different manufacturers of virtualization systems.

3. Automation. The product offers a variety of automated control scenarios. One effective tool is the self-service portal. The user can order various services on the portal from templates: a virtual machine with a specific OS and application software. This allows you to halve the time to deploy services and respond faster to business demands.

4. Following politicians. The system allows you to flexibly configure resource and security policies and strictly controls their implementation.
