Leform started using UHF RFID Chainway readers to automate inventory accounting

As reported, the retailer turned to the developer and integrator of mobile solutions for business - SCANPORT - for a service to automate accounting in warehouses and stores using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in order to optimize the speed of inventory and ensure timely replenishment of inventories.

At the time of the appeal, LEFORM kept records in 1C: Trade Management. As of June 2024, the retailer's constant turnover totaled more than 20,000 goods. Goods entering the warehouse were marked with a barcode and distributed to retail stores.

To mark goods with RFID labels, POSTEK G2000e printers were installed in two warehouses of the company, allowing you to print up to 8,000 labels per day at a speed of 153 mm/s. To conduct an inventory and receive information information about the product, they chose manual UHF RFID Chainway Readers C61 ones that OS Android provide RFID label processing at a speed of up to 900 pieces per second. The charge of accumulator the device with a capacity of 6,700 mAh is enough for at least 12 hours of continuous operation. Chainway C61 is protected from moisture and dust in class IP65, withstands repeated falls on concrete from a height of 1.8 meters. The data collection terminals were equipped mobile application DataMobile with versions of the Pro Standard with an additional RFID software module developed by SCANPORT.

After implementing the solution, the inventory time was reduced to a couple of hours. Now, to calculate the leftovers, you don't have to scan every label on every item. It is enough to press the reader button once to immediately process several hundred marks. The terminal screen displays the planned and actual quantity of goods, and the store employee can immediately track the discrepancies (shortages, surplus and re-sorting). After the check is completed, the document with the current values for the balances is uploaded to the 1C system.

The simple interface allowed store staff to quickly learn how to work software with DataMobile. All customer tasks are solved using typical application functions. No improvements ON were made.

The implementation of the RFID system made it possible to reduce the burden on store employees, organize effective balance control, optimize the speed of full and partial inventories, and reduce accounting errors. The customer plans to use DataMobile for piece accounting in warehouses and stores.
