2024: Product Announcement

On July 3, 2024, it became known about the release of the largest civilian hovercraft in Russia. The vessel, named "Huska-10," was designed and built at the Rybinsk shipyard in collaboration with the Krylovsky State Scientific Center.

The length of the vessel is 23.70 meters, the width is 13.60 meters, and the height with a folded mast is 7.9 meters. The vessel has a total displacement weight of 46.2 tons and a payload of up to 10 tons. The main goal of the project is to increase the efficiency and handling of hovercraft, while maintaining the high characteristics of amphibious and seaworthiness.

Sea trials of the Haska-10 take place at the Rybinsk reservoir, where the carrying capacity, navigation, seaworthiness and handling of the vessel are checked. During the tests, the automated control systems are also set up. This stage is important for gaining experience in the operation of this type of vessel and is planned to be used to create similar vessels with an even greater carrying capacity - up to 20 tons.

The Huska-10 project became part of the Development of Shipbuilding Science subprogram of the State Program of the Russian Federation "Development of Shipbuilding and Equipment for Offshore Field Development for 2013-2030," implemented by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The use of flexible skegs, which enclose the air cushion zone, makes it possible to achieve high efficiency and controllability of the vessel.

The vessel is equipped with two main engines with a power of 1100 kW each, which provides the highest speed of up to 40 knots with 50% of the reserves. The cruising range is 400 miles at 30 knots and the autonomy is up to three days. Up to 12 people can be on board, including a crew of three.[1]
