The Russian university of cooperation implemented a system for automation of tasks of selection committee

The 1C: Accounting and Trade company (BIT) completed the project of automation of work of selection committee of the Russian university of cooperation, this year acceptance of entrants was carried out already using a new information system. According to the results of system implementation on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform (solutions "BIT-AVROBUS: Selection committee", "1C: Compatible having the certificate!") time of formation of analytical reports about arriving was several times reduced and results of acceptance on the forms regulated by the legislation the term of documents acceptance arriving was reduced, Besides, a system allowed to obtain statistical information on demanded specialties for purposeful distribution of the marketing budget.

Annually goes about 10,000 students to the university. Before implementation of 1C:Enterprise 8 information on entrants was stored in spreadsheets, its analysis took away a lot of time, and the error probability was rather big. There was a need to create a system for automation of tasks of selection committee which would allow:

• Obtain the complete analytical information about entrants (quantity arriving in comparison with last years, the contingent of arriving) in uniform base across Moscow and branches;
• Increase reliability and completeness of information about arriving (privileges, results of the USE and Olympic Games, assessment for entrance examinations, basic education);
• It is considerable to reduce labor costs by data processing about entrants;
• Generate the resulting information on going to the university in real time.
• It was decided to implement a system on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform (a product "BIT-AVROBUS: Selection committee", the having certificate "1C: Compatible!") as the solution satisfies to assigned tasks.

The partner in implementation selected the office "AVROBUS" of 1C: Accounting and Trade company (BIT) having long-term experience of automation of universities.

As a result of implementation of the program employees of selection committee work in a common information space. Now the first stage of the project - automation of work of selection committee in a number of branches of university is completed. Implementation of the new software allowed the management to obtain operational information about the most demanded specialties, the number of entrants, results of control of knowledge arriving.

In plans for 2011 implementation of a single automated system for work of selection committee, a teaching department, dean's offices, educational and methodical department in all 22 branches of university.

Project Results:

• Time of formation of examination sheets and the list of the entrants allowed to examination was considerably reduced. After the end of entrance tests and putting down of estimates in the sheet a system automatically analyzes results of examinations and creates lists to transfer taking into account different advantages (for example, privileges, results of the Olympic Games, etc.). And all information about arrived automatically is transferred to the database of a teaching department and used further for its work.
• Submission due date of documents and obtaining results of entrance tests decreased.
• Time of formation of analytical reports about arriving and results of acceptance on the forms regulated by the legislation was several times reduced (76-CD, etc.). Earlier such reports formed several days, now - read minutes.
• There was an opportunity to obtain information on the specialties which are most demanded at the moment and, being guided by these data, more purposefully to distribute the marketing budget.
• Drawing up lists and sheets, necessary for work of selection committee, is automated that allowed to accelerate several times data processing at acceptance of entrants.
• Information on entrants (results of the USE and entrance tests, privileges, etc.) is stored in uniform base of selection committee that helped to accelerate search of necessary data on arriving, to reduce personnel labor costs.
