2024: Quintessence introduced a new development - the Yaz-5 unmanned tiltrotor

On July 8, 2024, Quintessence presented a new development - the Yaz-5 unmanned tiltrotor, designed for reconnaissance and cargo transportation.

The UAV attracted attention for its capabilities and at a price of about 1 million rubles. Telegram channel "Bespilot" published a video of tests demonstrating the capabilities of the drone.

A new development is presented - the Yaz-5 drone

"Yaz-5" is distinguished by the ability to transport goods on a cable even in wing flight mode, which is especially important for transporting equipment sensitive to magnetic interference. The developers promise that the device will be able to stay in the air 1 an hour and 10 minutes, carry a payload of up to 5 kg at a maximum take-off weight of 20 kg. The wing span of the drone is 2.8 meters.

A feature of the Yaz-5 is the use of rotary motors, which significantly reduces electricity consumption. The absence of a fifth motor, usually used for horizontal flight, increases the volume of the cargo compartment and improves the stability of the device. The Yaz-5 tiltrotor is more stable compared to analogues of the aircraft type with five engines and does not require strict alignment and weighing of the cargo.

In addition to Yaz-5, Quintessence is developing a more powerful Yaz-25 model capable of carrying a payload of up to 25 kg. This device promises a flight duration of up to 120 minutes with a maximum take-off weight of 55 kg and a wingspan of 4.5 meters. The cruising speed of the Yaz-25 will be 65 km/h with a range of flight speeds from 55 to 100 km/h.


The Quintessence tiltrotors are made of light materials, which allows you to reduce energy consumption in flight. Their design provides reliability - the devices can continue to fly even if the engines fail. In disassembled form, tiltrotors are easily placed in a passenger car, which greatly simplifies their transportation and operation.[1]
