2024: Product Announcement

On July 8, 2024, it became known that the Russian army began using a wheeled kamikaze robot called the Frog with a mine of TM-62. The first combat use of this device, equipped with an anti-tank mine weighing 10 kg, was recorded on video and demonstrated its effectiveness in destroying enemy fortified positions.

According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the small four-wheeled drone Frogushka showed the ability to travel significant distances over various types of terrain at high speed. In the first combat application, the kamikaze robot successfully moved along the asphalt, then crossed the field dug by funnels and, avoiding obstacles, approached the Ukrainian machine gun point unnoticed. The explosion caused by the detonation of the mine completely destroyed the fortification.

The development and use of this device became possible thanks to the efforts of the fighters of the volunteer detachment named after Maxim Krivonos, formed from former Ukrainian servicemen. The unit is also known for its success against various armored vehicles, including American M1A1SA Abrams tanks.

Mina TM-62, used in "The Frog," has long established itself as a reliable means of defeat. It is widely used in various armies of the world and is popular along with such weapons as a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a RPG-7 rocket-propelled hand grenade launcher, Mi-8/17 helicopters and T-54/55, T-62 and T-72 tanks. The weight of the mine is 10 kg, and the mass of the explosive, depending on the modification, reaches 8 kg. This mine successfully destroys various types of armored vehicles, including machines of the Leopard 2 family, and is used by both ground and flying drones. In addition, this mine is actively used to destroy buildings and fortifications in which opponents are located.[1]
