In June 2024, the Almaz-Antey East Kazakhstan concern presented a modernized Komar turret installation 3M47-03E capable of destroying not only air drones, but also sea drones.

According to the concern, the modernized version of the "Mosquito" is capable of hitting not only air, but also sea drones. The system update included equipping with 9M120-1 missiles of the Ataka type and supplementing with a gyro stabilization system, which allows the complex to be adapted for maritime conditions. As noted in the press service of the concern, the new system is capable of accompanying targets and launching missiles both in automatic and manual modes.

Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director for Foreign Economic Activity of the concern, stressed that the equipment developed by the Almaz-Antey East Kazakhstan region demonstrates high results in detecting and destroying various types of air and sea threats. According to him, the new products are reliable and easy to use.

According to RIA Novosti, the Komar turret installation was 3M47-03E the result of work to increase the efficiency of the complex. According to RBC, the use of new missiles and gyrostabilization systems expands the capabilities of the complex, allowing it to effectively act against both air and sea targets. The modernization allows Komar to 3M47-03E successfully perform tasks to protect against modern unmanned threats.

According to RBC, Komar will 3M47-03E be equipped with Igla-S 9M342 missiles, which were also used in the previous version of the installation, which retains its versatility and effectiveness. The introduction of the gyrostabilization system makes it possible to ensure the accuracy of tracking and hitting targets in the sea, which significantly increases the operational capabilities of the complex.[1]
