2024: Start of Sales

In mid-July 2024, Stratasys launched the DentaJet XL dental 3D printer, which prints crowns, bridges and eliners. The manufacturer notes that the new printer is able to facilitate the operation of labotatoriums by using larger cartridges, a large printing tray and ultra-fast mode. In addition, printed crowns require minimal post-processing, reducing the burden on laboratories.

The DentaJet XL printer was designed specifically for dental laboratories, which have to perform large amounts of work. It is designed to operate in production conditions with minimal human intervention. With advanced print preparation software and print management features, as well as an automatic printing and docking system, labs can reduce their labor costs by nearly 90%. The introduction of new printing modes and larger cartridges leads to a reduction in the cost of printing by almost 67%. In addition, the new printer can be integrated with already validated large-scale postprocessing printing results workflows.

Ronen Leby, vice president of Stratasys Dental, stated, "This is our most efficient 3D printer designed to simultaneously produce high-precision models of crowns and bridges, implants, capps and surgical templates on a wide scale."

Notable features of the new 3D printer include uninterrupted printing of large orders thanks to large cartridges weighing 4 kg and the possibility of quick replacement, a significant reduction in preparation time for printing, as well as printing with two materials, which optimizes workflows and saves time and labor.[1]
