2023: Digital transformation in the "Federal Freight Company": import substitution of software, hardware and other projects of the year
In 2023, information technologies at the Federal Freight Company (FGK) developed under the conditions of sanctions in accordance with strategic documents - the digital transformation strategy until 2024 and the FGK informatization program for 2023-2025. Against this background, the company assigned special importance to projects of import substitution of software and hardware platforms. As FGK reported in its annual report published in July 2024, the following important tasks were completed in the reporting period:
- an updated digital transformation strategy has been approved;
- purchased Russian software for foreign replacement (operating system, office suite, virtualization system, etc.);
- Russian electronic products were purchased to replace foreign equipment (servers, telecommunication equipment, AWS);
- introduction of a domestic firewall into the corporate telecommunication infrastructure of JSC FGK;
- started work on import substitution (reengineering) of the automated sales unit system;
- work was organized to transfer the corporate analytical reporting system to domestic software;
- developed and put into permanent operation an automated system for managing the fleet of cars "FGK" ("ACS FGK. Dispatcher ") on an import-substituted platform, registered in the unified register of domestic software;
- within the framework of the implementation of the automated budget management system, a technical assignment was developed and an agreement was concluded for the development and implementation of the system, the system modules were put into trial operation in the scenarios "Budget," "Operational Plan," "Fact," "Cash Flow";
- the automated risk management and internal control system "FGK" was put into continuous operation;
- The software for the maintenance of the contract for the provision of railcars for the organization of cargo transportation between the structural units of Russian Railways has been put into permanent operation;
- measures were taken to put into operation cryptographic information protection tools at the FGK facilities.
From the open purchases of "FGK" it follows that the company acquired, for example, from domestic computing equipment, storage systems Tatlin which the company produces, and from telecommunications Yadro- switchboards from routers a Russian developer. Of Eltex the acquisitions of 2024 - the Yastreb AWS from Delta Computers and the Giant monoblock from the company of the same name.
A number of key projects were implemented in the reporting period as part of various business initiatives. So, for example, according to the initiative "Development of commercial services," the company ensured the commissioning of an automated sales unit system (SS AS), implemented the charging of services under daily use contracts based on price conditions, and also carried out work on the creation of "FGK ACS. Integration "- import-substituted integration system with NPP" Etran. "
In accordance with the initiative "Development of optimization systems," the automated system "ACS FGK. Dispatcher "on an import-substituted platform to ensure the process of managing the fleet of FGK wagons, covering such functions as maintaining a register of wagons subject to automatic and manual registration, maintaining regulatory reference information and loading resource, calculating the chess of the deployment of wagons, containers, maintaining customer applications for the provision of wagons.
And as part of the initiative "Creating a service and IT service management system," FGK acquired a Russian solution for the service and IT service management system and performed work on installing and configuring this system in a test environment.
In the future, FGK will pay special attention to the use of artificial intelligence to optimize business processes and increase operational efficiency in the digital transformation, the company's annual report says.
2016: "Federal Freight Company" develops interactive services for customers
The Federal Freight Company (FGK, a subsidiary of Russian Railways), in order to effectively interact with customers, presented a new service on its website in the "Customers" section - an electronic application form.
