2024: Building Digital Twins

In mid-July 2024, the AI company Eternos.Life began creating digital twins of people on the verge of death. One of the first clients was 61-year-old Michael Bommer, whose voice, personality and memories will become the basis for the digital version. The team integrated data collection and transcription functions into a dedicated chat so Bommer's family could continue to communicate with him for generations.

Based on 300 sentences, AI learned to reproduce Bommer's voice. In addition, Bommer told AI 150 stories from his life that reflect his experience, values and the advice he would like to leave to heirs. All this knowledge is stored in the database, and in response to a question, the AI connects suitable fragments from these records. It is reported that the first results made a good impression on Bommer and his relatives. He said AI was "at its best" and even answered questions in two languages, as was Bommer himself, who speaks German and English.

Bommer's digital counterpart is able to support the conversation about life, family, career and much more, is able to share the story, give advice and talk to Bommer's wife before bed. 'My favourite, sweet dreams, I love you dearly. Good night». According to NYPost, a digital lookalike can even write a poem or tell a child a bedtime story.

Eternos.life is not the only program for creating digital twins based on artificial intelligence, however, according to the developers, this AI has enough "intuition" to reason like a person, effectively select options from information and even complete the missing data. The next step will be to create a visual digital twin based on photos and videos.[1]
