In mid-July 2024, it became known about the construction in Yakutia of a plant for the production of all-terrain, agricultural and communal equipment. This became known in July 2024. This project is being implemented by the Chinese company Tongjiang Hezhe Zhanqi, which is a major manufacturer of motor vehicles in Heilongjiang province.

According to Ulus Media, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Julustan Borisov met with Chairman of Tongjiang Hezhe Zhanqi Fu Chunshen, at which the details of the project were discussed.

Chinese plant for the production of all-terrain, agricultural and communal equipment opens in Yakutsk

The new plant will specialize in the production of a wide range of equipment, including all-terrain vehicles, pickup cars, trucks, agricultural and specialized communal equipment. Special attention will be paid to the production of energy-saving and environmentally friendly equipment.

The government of Yakutia expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of the project. In particular, the Agency for Attracting Investments and Export Support of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will accompany the project and help in resolving emerging issues. In addition, the investor is offered the opportunity to become a resident of the territory of advanced development, which implies tax incentives at the initial stage of the project.

Fu Chunsheng noted that the successful implementation of the project in Yakutsk and the positive testing of equipment in difficult climatic conditions could become the basis for expanding the company's presence in Russia, including the opening of a branch in Moscow.

The meeting also discussed the issues of branding the plant's products, specialization of equipment, delivery of components to the republic, certification of equipment and the possibility of developing cooperation in the industrial and agricultural sectors.[1]
