2024: Airport commissioning

St. Petersburg The construction of the new Levashovo airport was completed, investments in which amounted to ₽41 billion Gosstroynadzor in July 2024 issued a permit for the commissioning of the fourth, final stage of the facility.

According to Vedomosti, as part of the fourth stage, road infrastructure was built, including two exits to the Ring Road and an overpass. The total length of new roads exceeds 2 km.

A new Levashovo airport was completely built in St. Petersburg for 41 billion rubles

Levashovo Airport is located in the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg, 11.5 km from the Lakhta Center business center. The project was implemented under a concession agreement between the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and PJSC Gazprom. The developer was Gazprom Avia.

The new airport complex is equipped with two runways corresponding to the II category of accurate entry. This allows the reception of various types of civilian aircraft, including Boeing 737-700, SSJ-100, Yak-42 and others. The main runway is 300 m wide and 2.7 km long.

The capacity of the Levashovo passenger terminal reaches 250 people per hour. The airport has international status - the corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on July 1, 2022.

On the territory of the airport, a dispensary for flight personnel for 100 people, an administrative building for Gazprom Avia for 300 employees and an office building for 200 people were built. Parking lots for cars are also equipped and a monument to the Tu-134 aircraft is installed.

The appearance of the airport complex was agreed by the Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of St. Petersburg. The project was developed by LLC "Underground Project." The facades are made in white and gray, and the passenger terminal is equipped with a large number of glass surfaces.[1]
