Xiaomi Risetime (smart umbrella)

In mid-July 2024, Xiaomi introduced a smart electric umbrella called Risetime. It is claimed to be able to open and fold in one touch within two seconds.

The novelty is equipped with an electric drive and a battery. There are two buttons on the handle: one of them is responsible for unfolding, the second for folding. The battery charge is said to last for 150 cycles of opening and closing the umbrella. The power supply has a capacity of 280 mA·ch and takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge. Standby times reach 180 days and the development company says Risetime can be used throughout the rainy season without additional charging. But if the battery is discharged, then the umbrella can only be folded - it will not be possible to open it manually.

The Risetime Smart Electric Umbrella features a number of additional features that enhance user comfort and provide added security. The novelty uses a reverse folding design: that is, when the product closes, the wet surface is inside. The umbrella handle is IPX4 waterproof. The umbrella is capable of blocking more than 99% of ultraviolet rays (degree of protection from the sun UPF50 +). Risetime is made of high-quality materials: the frame is made of aviation aluminum alloy. Declared wind resistance level 5. The edges of the dome are capable of reflecting bright light to improve safety when moving at night or during rain.

The umbrella, made in black, received a minimalist design. There is a status LED on the handle. As of mid-July 2024, Risetime is priced at approximately 20. dollars USA^[1]
