2024: Product Announcement
In July 2024, the Russian company AMT, a resident of the Skolkovo innovation center, developed and presented a new construction 3D printer S400, capable of printing buildings up to four floors high. The novelty is designed for the quick and accurate construction of large structures directly on the construction site.
The S400 is a development of the previous S300-2 model and features improved hardware for even greater print accuracy. The new printer is capable of operating at high speed, reaching productivity of up to 0.8 cubic meters per hour, which significantly reduces the construction time. The S400's working area is 17 x 11 x 10 metres, making it suitable for spacious and multi-storey buildings.
Yuri Khakhanov, Director of Science-Intensive Technologies and Innovation Economics for the Urban Environment of the Skolkovo Foundation, noted that construction 3D printing at Skolkovo is developing rapidly, and AMT continues to maintain leadership in the Russian and world markets.
The new S400 printer is an important step in the transition to using 3D printing for multi-storey construction, improving productivity and reducing the construction time. Such projects supported by Skolkovo will be in maximum demand by the market in the coming years, "Khakhanov said. |
The S400 is compatible with various building materials, including cement and gypsum mixtures, high strength and moisture resistant compositions. The device has high mobility and autonomy, is easily disassembled into modules 3 meters long and can be installed on the construction site without reference to the foundation. This allows you to use the printer in remote and hard-to-reach places in 24/7 mode.[1]
