2024: CBR buys Slava business center

The Central Bank of Russia has acquired the Slava business center under construction, located near the Belorusskaya metro station in Moscow. The deal concluded between the Bank of Russia and the group ВЭБ.РФ. This became known on July 19, 2024.

According to Vedomosti, after the completion of construction and repair work, a significant part of the complex will be transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency. The regulator plans to use the purchased space to optimize real estate costs and effectively accommodate employees.

Representatives of the Central Bank announced their intention to abandon the lease of all premises and significantly reduce the total area of the buildings used. At the same time, the amount of the transaction was not disclosed, but it is known that it was determined on the basis of an independent assessment.

The Slava business center, belonging to class A +, is part of a multifunctional quarter being built on the territory of the former Slava watch factory. The project is implemented taking into account modern environmental standards: it provides for the use of renewable energy sources, maximum natural light due to large windows and the use of natural materials in decoration.

According to the ВЭБ.РФ, the transfer of the facility to the Bank of Russia is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. The final phase of construction of the complex, which includes the creation of public space and residential premises, is expected in the second quarter of 2027.

On the site of the once abandoned territory, the modern Slava quarter appeared, which, as is already obvious, has become a point of attraction for citizens and employers, - said Tarabrin.

The project provides for the creation of an all-season public space around the buildings with developed infrastructure, including shops, cafes, restaurants, a fitness center and an educational institution. The park area and the central square of the complex will be available to everyone.

As part of the optimization of its assets, the Central Bank plans to donate more than 10 buildings to the state treasury.[1]
