History

2024: Construction begins

On July 22, 2024, it became known about the start of construction of a center for the production of medical devices for the provision of prosthetic and orthopedic care for people with disabilities in the city of Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad Region. The project, estimated at 286 million rubles, is designed to expand the region's capabilities in the field of rehabilitation and support for people with disabilities.

According to the Construction Department of the Leningrad Region, a tender has been announced to find a contractor for the design and construction of the center. A new enterprise called "Center for the Production of Medical Devices Intended for the Provision of Prosthetic and Orthopedic Assistance to Disabled People" will be located on Shishkanya Street in Vsevolozhsk and will be a one-story building with an area of ​ ​ 1 thousand square meters. m.

According to the terms of reference, the center provides a number of specialized premises necessary for the complete production of prostheses. Among them are an engineering office, a gypsum room for making a positive stump, a block lamination room for creating a stool case and a locksmith's room for assembling components of the future product.

In addition, the project includes a roller cutter for processing and grinding body casings, a machine tool for making your own components of the product, a technicians' office, a hall, consultation rooms, an impression room for taking a cast from a stump and five fitting rooms.

Of the total investment, 155.7 million rubles are planned to be spent directly on the construction of the facility, and 70.4 million rubles - on the purchase and installation of the necessary equipment. The remaining funds will be used to design and cover other construction-related costs.

The center will work in one shift and will be able to receive up to eight visitors daily. The staff will be 18 people. To ensure a high quality of patient care, the contractor needs to purchase specialized equipment, including walking bars, medical couches with an adjustable head rest, electric cast racks and an infrared orthopedic table.

The completion of all work on the construction and equipment of the center in Vsevolozhsk is scheduled for the end of December 2024.[1]
