FCS will buy antiviruses for almost half a billion rubles

According to the terms of reference, the customs service intends to purchase 43,477 Kaspersky Total Security for business licenses and 36,592 Kaspersky Security licenses for virtual and cloud environments. The total number of licenses purchased will be 160138 units.

Kaspersky Total Security for Business provides comprehensive protection of information infrastructure, including security management through a single console, automatic detection and response to threats, protection of email and web traffic at the gateway level, as well as encryption to prevent leakage of confidential data.

Kaspersky Security for virtual and cloud environments specializes in protecting the cloud infrastructure, improving the performance of hybrid systems and supporting a wide range of server virtualization platforms and virtual desktops.

This is the second attempt by the FCS to purchase antivirus software in 2024. The previous auction, announced on May 15, 2024 in the amount of ₽610 million, was canceled on June 4, 2024. Then it was planned to purchase products not only from Kaspersky Lab, but also from Positive Technologies.

The reason for the cancellation of the previous auction was not officially announced, but the decision was made in accordance with paragraph 1 of part 2 of Article 36 of Federal Law No. 44-FZ "On the contract system in the field of procurement of goods, works, services to meet state and municipal needs." This clause grants the customer the right to cancel the purchase no later than one business day before the end of the application deadline[1]
