2024: Product Announcement

At the end of July 2024, it became known that the engineering center of the Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) and the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseeva developed an autonomous transport platform Neos. This specialized electric vehicle is designed to carry goods.

The machine is equipped with radars, lidars, cameras and navigation equipment. It is able to independently analyze the environment and adjust the route to bypass obstacles. In addition, you can control the operation of Neos remotely from the control room (for example, in the event of an emergency).

Neos

It is noted that the vehicle is unified with electric machines already produced at the GAZ plant, including electric buses. The Neos model does not have a familiar cabin - the entire upper part is occupied by a cargo placement platform. On one charge of the battery pack, the machine can cover a distance of up to 120 km. The carrying capacity reaches 1200 kg. The platform is equipped with a suspension of the Sable NN all-wheel drive van: only the front nodes are used, thanks to which Neos can drive sideways and diagonally. The turning radius is 3.5 meters.

A self-driving vehicle can climb up to 12 degrees at full load. The platform is capable of moving in both directions with the same efficiency. The machine is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 100 kW with water cooling and traction batteries with a capacity of up to 48 kVt·ch. Modular architecture and various add-ons allow you to adapt Neos to work in various conditions - at airports, in warehouses, etc. At the GAZ enterprise, a robotic machine is planned to be used for intersectoral transportation of automobile bodies.[1]
