2024: Product Announcement

At the end of July 2024, it became known that the Osoed unmanned aerial vehicle was developed in Russia, designed to intercept other drones. The novelty is equipped with a special mechanism that shoots a net covering enemy equipment from a distance of several meters.

The Osoed is designed on the basis of a nine-inch FPV-class drone ("first-person view"). The Russian device can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h, and the charge of the battery pack is enough for 24 minutes of flight. The operating range is 4-5 km, the maximum altitude is 5-6 km. A grid shot occurs automatically at a certain distance, which usually varies in the range of 5-6 meters. After an enemy UAV is trapped, the operation of its carrier screws is blocked and it falls to the ground.

In Russia,
a drone interceptor of other UAVs "Osoed" is presented

The developers note that, remaining unnoticed, for example, when entering from behind or from above, the Osoed is able to catch up with almost any drone. If the intruder drone is trying to get away from the chase, then it is quite difficult to overtake some high-speed vehicles. For this reason, the creators of Osoed are working to increase the maximum flight speed to 230 km/h. This is expected to allow intercepting high-speed FPV drones, as well as small and medium (with a wingspan of up to 3 meters) aircraft-type UAVs with a propeller.

Osoed can also be equipped with additional equipment. In particular, it is possible to install a thermal imager, which allows you to switch between day and night modes of operation. Thus, it will be possible to intercept enemy drones, including in the dark. In addition, the new version of the Russian drone will be equipped with a ram that allows you to destroy the UAV without damaging the Osoed itself[1]
