2024: Smart Lighting Equipment Plant Opened

In July 2024, a new plant for the production of equipment for smart lighting "Fortis" was launched in Omsk. It was opened in the TechnoOmsk industrial park on the basis of the Omsk Transport Engineering Plant.

The new plant, which is part of the holding of one of the largest manufacturers of LED equipment, radio electronics and software for smart cities, has become a resident of the TechnoOmsk industrial park. The new facility will manufacture innovative lighting equipment and automated outdoor lighting systems, including energy efficient street lights and LED lights.

A plant for the production of equipment for smart lighting was opened in Omsk for 100 million rubles

The Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khocenko stressed that work on the organization of the industrial park began in August 2023, when an agreement was signed with the Uralvagonzavod concern. He noted the importance of this project for the region.

A lot of preparatory work was carried out to attract residents and create all the necessary conditions for their activities. The products in demand in the improvement will now be produced in Omsk, and all the additional value will remain in our region, - said Khocenko

Alexey Trekin, General Director of Fortis LLC, noted that the presence of technology parks allows you to completely localize production and create new jobs. He stressed that the company became one of the first residents of a large-scale project, and announced plans to systematically increase production volumes. According to him, in 2024, only the first stage of the production of lighting equipment was opened.

This plant is part of the holding, which is one of the largest Russian manufacturers of LED equipment, radio electronics, software and infrastructure facilities of smart cities.
