Career

2016-2018

He began his career in 2006 at the regional Khanty-Mansiysk Bank, and went to the head of the retail block. Since 2011, he moved to work in the territorial department of the West Siberian Bank of Sberbank as deputy director of the department for work with partners. He was engaged in the development of car loans, mortgage business and acquiring. Then, until 2018, he worked as director of the direct sales department and director of the sales and service department in the bank's network of offices. His area of ​ ​ responsibility in all areas included the four largest regions of Russia.

2022

In November 2022, the Samolet group announced the appointment of Alexander Popov to the post of general director of Samolet Plus.

Prior to joining the Samolet group, Popov served for four years as executive director for working with partners of the Domklik division of the central office of Sberbank, where he was responsible for the development of a technological partner product and joint customer service with the entire partner network, including real estate agencies and construction companies.

2024: Appointment as CEO of Aircraft Financial Technologies LLC

At the end of July 2024, Alexander Popov was appointed the new general director of the digital bank of the Samolet group - Aircraft Financial Technologies LLC. Before him, the company from its foundation - October 2022 - was led by Kirill Gurbanov. 

By the end of July 2024, Popov is also in charge of Airplane Plus JSC, registered on March 29, 2024. The company is engaged in the development of computer software. This is evidenced by the data of the service "Kontur. Focus."

It also says that Alexander Popov holds the position of general director also in other structures of the developer. In particular, he has been managing the real estate agency Airplane Plus LLC since November 2022, and from July 2023, LLC MFOUK Airplane Plus, which was the Ufa real estate agency Perspective 24 before the purchase of Airplane, as well as established by the Russian Union of Real Estate Market Participants.
