Told HP that 100 clients of mainframes of IBM refused the equipment of the company and purchased the equipment of HP this year, and provided details of three transactions from this row. This answer to constantly published reports on progress of the IBM Migration Factory program directed just to the return.

Continuing to draw public attention to recently received status of world vendor of servers No. 1, HP prepared the answer to statements of IBM that within its Migration Factory program hundreds of clients of HP switch to server products of IBM. According to HP, just about 100 clients of IBM in the current year migrated in the opposite direction.

According to Krega Wagner (Craig Wagner) heading the direction of the critical systems in HP that IBM actively insists on the progress in gaining a market share of HP the last published digits of IDC about a status of the server market testify just to the return. "Though it is tempting to blow about separate victories, the picture in general from it does not change", - he said.

Let's remind that according to IDC on a status in three quarters 2010 the share of HP in the world server market grew by 3.6% up to 33.4% while the share of IBM decreased by 1.2% up to 30.6%.

According to Wagner, success of strategy of HP consists in convergent approach: the company offers clients not only server lines, but also solutions for data storage, management of network infrastructure and others. It also cited as an example three clients who refused solutions of IBM for benefit of HP just owing to the fact that similar strategy seemed to them convincing. Everything, according to Wagner, in 2010 like those clients there were about 100.

One of such companies – the largest South Korean producer of the buses Kumho Tires. The company needed expansion of server capacities in connection with growth of business needs and as a result refused mainframes of IBM for benefit of Integrity Superdome HP server running HP-UX OS.

Other example is a transition of one of the largest districts of the city of New Mexico, Bernalillo County, from mainframes of IBM to Integrity server edges running HP-UX OS. At the expense of it the number of physical servers was succeeded to reduce administrations of the district, to improve performance and to reduce energy consumption by 40%. Also the Union National Bank working in the UAE arrived: it replaced huge server base IBM with only 2 HP servers of Integrity Superdome.

Let's remind that in August IBM reported on the next stage of "server war" against HP and Oracle: more than 200 large corporate clients migrated on the equipment of the company only for the last three months. In total during the campaign the corporation won from competitors of 2600 clients, IBM stated then.
