2023: Market Size - 56,000 square meters
At the end of 2023, the volume of sales of LED video walls on a global scale reached 56 thousand square meters. For comparison, a year earlier, shipments were less than 40 thousand square meters, and in 2020 they were at the level of 9 thousand square meters. Such indicators are reflected in Omdia materials published on August 6, 2024.
It is noted that the demand for LED video walls is growing steadily. These devices are used in various fields, in particular, in conference halls, public places (as advertising and information boards), in dispatch centers and crisis centers, in public and educational institutions, in television studios, in office premises, etc. Panel sales are growing amid improvements in their technical specifications, such as pixel pitch and brightness. Omdia analysts highlight several key advantages of LED video walls over traditional LCDs:
· Flexibility of configuration: Unlike fixed aspect ratio LCDs, LED screens can be adapted to rooms of various sizes and configurations, which provides additional convenience in the design of conference rooms;
· Large format: while LCD panels have size limitations, LED displays can be combined to create seamless video walls with a diagonal of more than 100 inches;
· Serviceability: While traditional LCDs often require replacement in case of damage, LED products can usually be restored thanks to a modular design, which extends the life.
In the future, as noted in the Omdia study, the competition between multifunctional LED panels, LCD screens with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and interactive displays will intensify.[1]
