"The Russian space systems" and Oversun Group developed Russia's first infrastructure "cloud" of the corporate level. RKS are going to use it as for internal needs of the enterprise, and to offer services of "cloud" to the different companies and departments.
Since 2008 the Oversun group conducts developments of "oblask" jointly with specialists of JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy. In 2009 Oversun put into operation the first Russian public "cloud" Skalaksi platform using technologies of virtualization Xen. "Cloud" conforms to the international standard of public "cloud" a NIST (a NIST, cloud computing v15 of 10/7/2009). According to this standard, "cloud" should implement the principles of network availability, payment after delivery, flexibility of purchase, independence of "iron", availability of any volume of services.
At the end of 2010 two companies jointly put first domestic "cloud" of the corporate level into operation. "The cloud is specially developed for implementation of the state and corporate projects and integrated with environments of virtualization VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Infrastructure of Russian "cloud" consists of management systems for virtual machines, data warehouses, network resources, the system of algorithms of automatic scaling of resources, a monitoring system of resources, a security system and templates of operating systems.
In March, 2011 RKS are going to complete creation of network geographically distributed system of data storage. It will allow to synchronize data between Russian "clouds" in different data centers. Also RKS and Oversun develop technical specifications for a complex of programs of support of environments of programming languages, popular in Russia.
Feature of the "cloud" platform about which there is a speech is the instrument of vertical automatic scaling (AutoScaling). Thanks to existence of this tool, computing resources can be scaled automatically without reset of servers. At the same time for the current loading the necessary volume of capacities is provided. Connection of new capacities through web requires no more than one minute. Also quickly also reserve capacities in case of failure join that practically excludes idle time.
Fault tolerance of the platform such is that "falling" of a half of the server park does not affect business of clients in any way. The storage system can store at the same time up to four copies of client data, thereby ensuring functioning even at failure more than a half of hard drives. According to RKS, a project payback period - from two to five years, depending on demand. Investments into creation of "cloud" of the company do not disclose.
Protection of remote resources of the companies is performed using service "remote anti-DDoS". It is the hardware and software system constructed on developments of Cisco.
The program core of "cloud" is an original Russian development. The hardware platform of "cloud" is based on capacities of the Russian data centers of Oversun-Mercury and Oversun Moon.
In "cloud" projects and IT infrastructure more than 200 companies of the Russian sector of the Internet and the enterprises of the real sector of economy are already placed. In particular, it is used for the internal needs by JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy, medical company "ON-Klinik" and some other.
The CEO – the chief designer of JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy (GLONASS developer) Urlichich Yury emphasized that "first Russian "cloud" of the corporate level about which he there is a speech is one of the few commercially successful Russian innovations which are so necessary to modern Russia which followed a way of upgrade". This product was carefully tested in JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy. It, according to Yury Urlichich, is a ready infrastructure core for "such socially important projects and programs of the state as the innovation center "Skolkovo", the state program Information society.
The real competition to "cloud" Oversana is made by classical services of modern data centers (placement of servers and lease of servers). However data centers have a number of shortcomings: low speed of delivery of power, impossibility of instant scaling and some other.
Key advantage of "cloud" as business concepts, it is possible to consider at least 30% economy on IT due to hourly tariffing of dynamic selection of computing resources, lack of need to independently support and update IT systems. Other advantages – ensuring continuity of business processes (due to fault tolerance), rapid implementation new and updating of the existing business processes due to instant connection to service and receiving IT as service.
According to forecasts Oversan, first of all the state and the companies will transfer desktop programs, e-mail, means of joint work and an enterprise management system to "clouds".
