2024: Product Announcement

In mid-August 2024, Fiberscope introduced an unmanned aerial vehicle called the Skycopter Cobra. It is an inspection drone designed to operate underground and indoors. The drone can be used, in particular, to inspect mines.

The drone is enclosed in a special protective frame in the form of a ball, thanks to which it is not afraid of contact with walls and any objects. The diameter of the entire structure is about 36 cm, and the device weighs about 1.3 kg. The device can be operated at temperatures from -20 to + 40 degrees Celsius in high humidity conditions. Radiation protection is provided.

The equipment includes a Full HD camera with a stabilizer: shooting materials with a resolution of 1080p and a frequency of 60 frames per second is supported. If necessary, the drone can be equipped with a thermal imager. The maximum payload weight is 250 g. The equipment includes LED backlight with a capacity of 12 thousand lumens. Special glasses with FPV technology (first-person view) are available for the drone. They feature 1280 × 960 pixel OLED displays, which are claimed to provide high definition images. Thanks to zero-latency streaming, video can be recorded directly on an SD card inserted into glasses or a ground station, while a backup copy is stored in the internal memory of the drone (8 GB).

Battery Block provides up to 14 minutes of flight on a single charge. The drone is designed to operate in extreme conditions and in ultra-narrow spaces. The package includes a special control station, which is a durable field tablet with a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and viewing angles of 170 degrees horizontally and vertically.[1]
