2024: Product Announcement
In Russia, a unique powerbank was developed that is capable of charging without the need to connect to the electric network. This became known in August 2024. The new device, created by specialists from the Moscow Aviation Institute, uses several alternative energy sources, which makes it especially useful in the absence of access to the outlet. Powerbank is designed to meet the needs of tourists, climbers and specialists working far from civilization.
Powerbank is able to extract energy from various sources, including solar energy, old batteries, vibrations, temperature differences and even radio waves. The project manager, senior lecturer at the Moscow Aviation Institute, Vasily Egorov, stressed that such solutions do not yet exist on the market, and the completion of work on the prototype and the start of commercialization of the device is planned for the spring of 2025.
The development of students of the Moscow Aviation Institute is a modular device in which each module is responsible for a specific method of obtaining energy. For example, one of the modules allows you to collect energy from radio waves, which is especially effective when located near a cell tower. Another module, with a Peltier element, generates electricity due to temperature differences - it can be used by placing the device near a fire or on a hot stone.
A module based on the principle of oscillating magnets near inductors allows you to store energy from vibration that occurs during normal walking. And the solar panel, although a known charging method, is also built into the powerbank, which provides an additional source of energy under favorable conditions. The start of sales of the device is scheduled for the spring of 2025.[1]
