2024: Product Announcement

In August 2024, Rostec State Corporation presented an industrial manipulator developed as part of the import substitution program. The new equipment is capable of replacing foreign analogues and is designed to perform a wide range of production tasks.

According to the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, the development was presented by RT-Tekhpriemka, which is part of Rostec. The manipulator is designed to perform tasks at industrial enterprises, including movement, assembly, unloading, as well as painting. The key advantage of the device is its versatility and ability to adapt to the specific requirements of various industries, the developers say.

Rostec introduced an industrial manipulator to replace Kuka robots

The new equipment, developed by the RT-Center for Engineering, has six degrees of mobility, which allows it to perform movements with high accuracy over a radius of up to 950 mm. These functions are provided by domestic electromechanical drives and pneumatic grips that simulate the motor functions of the human hand. The software and manipulator control systems are also fully developed in Russia.

According to the general director of RT-Tekhpriemka Vladlen Shorin, the development is aimed at eliminating the dependence of the domestic industry on foreign equipment suppliers.

With the withdrawal from the Russian market of many foreign manufacturers of robotic equipment, such as KUKA, Fanuc, Yaskawa and ABB, our task is to provide industrial enterprises with reliable and modern equipment capable of replacing foreign analogues, "Shorin said.

The manipulator also has a light modular design and low weight (up to 7 kg), which facilitates its integration into existing production processes. This is especially important in conditions of limited space on production lines. Flexible automated lines that use this equipment can be equipped with sensors or optical sensors capable of recognizing objects and correcting the program in real time. The production of new robots has already been established.[1]
