The ability to work with smartphones and tablets
VK The board is now available for use with smartphones and tablets. VK (formerly Mail.ru Group) announced this on October 31, 2024. A mobile board editor with a large selection of tools will make the work process even more convenient and efficient. The mobile version presents the full functionality of the service: the ability to create, edit and share virtual spaces.
Right from their smartphones and tablets, users can create scalable smart boards, add images and links, as well as stickers, shapes and text elements that now support full formatting. In addition, it is possible to set a timer for more productive work.
Users will be able to use new ready-made templates, including: mine-map, command retro, business process description scheme. Using templates, you can create new boards or add them to existing spaces. In addition, users have the ability to visually turn off the cursors of other participants during collaboration. This will allow you to focus on your tasks and minimize distractions, creating a more productive working environment.
Also, this function of exporting a virtual board or selected fragment in PDF format will allow you to save your work in a convenient form, and the help section will help you find available shortcuts.
Quick Copy
In the VK Board, fast copying and support for new formats became available. The developer announced this on September 19, 2024.
Users can transfer data by copying, as well as save tables and popular Kanban and USM formats
VK The board (runs in beta) has improved the functionality of transferring data from Miro's foreign collaboration platform. Users have become available a way to transfer content via the clipboard, which will provide more opportunities for efficient work.
In order to quickly transfer visual and text elements, users need to select fragments on the board in Miro and copy them. The selected data is automatically transferred to the clipboard. Next, users need to open the VK Board and get them up. This will allow you to quickly and conveniently transfer and not lose all important elements, as well as continue to work with them after backup.
One of the key advantages of the functionality was the ability to transfer Kanban, USM (User Story Mapping) formats and tables. Now, project users can easily adapt their workflows by importing out-of-the-box templates and structures into the VK Board. This will significantly save time preparing and completing tasks.
We strive to make VK Board the most convenient and multifunctional tool for efficient work and study. Users really expected the ability to transfer data through the clipboard, as well as the usual elements in Kanban and USM format, and they were implemented first of all, "said Sergey Prokudin, head of the product department of VK Boards. |
Ability to migrate and save data from an overseas collaboration platform
VK Board (running in beta for August 2024) will help users migrate and save their data from a foreign collaboration platform. This will allow you not to lose important visual and text elements, and also continue to work with them later. For each new virtual space, a board with the same name and owner rights will be created. VK (formerly Mail.ru Group) announced this on August 30, 2024.
In order to use the transfer, the user will need to go to the corresponding section of the VK Board and log in to Miro. After authentication, the added functionality and a list of previously saved virtual boards will become available. As part of the transfer, the user will be able to save all the usual elements for full-fledged work:
- Shapes with color and stroke formatting, including text blocks
- links between figures (arrows);
- stickers, including those with text inside;
- Texts located outside the shapes
- images;
- frames;
- templates, provided that in Miro they are composed of standard figures.
Also, users can transfer content with an unlimited number of both personal boards and those to which they have access to Miro. For each new virtual space, a virtual board with the same name and owner rights will be created.
VK Boards View
VK on August 19, 2024 introduced the beta version of the free service - VK Board. It allows you to visualize information and share progress in work. The service will be useful for meetings, classes, brainstorms and retrospective. Collaboration is available to users without restrictions on the number of participants and virtual boards created.
In the VK Board, users have access to a virtual interactive space, where they can create scalable smart boards with stickers, shapes, add text, images, links and other elements, as well as set a timer for productive work in a strictly allotted time. The service allows you to organize a joint workspace, share tasks, track progress and discuss ideas with colleagues.
In the near future, VK Board users will be able to save and transfer data from other services for free and return to modifying virtual spaces later.
This VK Board product will be a convenient space for everyone who works on projects, training and needs the help of visual instruments, and also appreciates convenience and efficiency. A simple and intuitive interface of the service will help users achieve better results, - said Sergey Prokudin, project manager at VK Board. |
